Arena of Champions WoW: which project is this?

The search phrase “Arena of Champions WoW” leads to this independent browser project at arenaofchampions.live. This guide identifies that project and its relationship to World of Warcraft. The name is used in other gaming contexts, so confirm the destination before following a tutorial or downloading anything. This project is separate from WebWoW and is not an official World of Warcraft browser client.

On November 2, 2026 we opened the original website and observed a rendered game entry screen with Play as Guest, Sign In, Create an account and Download for Windows. The presence of that optional download does not make the browser entry point an installer-only product.

Availability observation: our guest entry attempt returned “Something went wrong on the server.” We reached the login screen, not a playable match. This is a dated test result, not a claim that the project is permanently offline.

What to expect from guest entry

  1. Open the original project in a current browser and wait for the entry screen to render.
  2. Read the live guest and progress-saving notes. During our check, the entry screen said no account was needed to attempt guest access and that progress could be saved later.
  3. Choose Play as Guest only if you want a temporary session. Watch for a loading state, a response or a server error.
  4. If entry succeeds for you, read the current controls and queue instructions in the client before making assumptions about rated access or lasting progress.
  5. If entry fails, preserve the error wording and try the original site later. Do not treat account creation or a Windows download as a verified workaround.

We do not publish a successful first-match walkthrough from a failed entry attempt. The beginner guide instead explains how to prepare and how to distinguish a browser problem from a server response.

Keep the game’s rules separate from official WoW

Class names, fantasy art and an arena setting are not enough to establish a ruleset. Exact specializations, ability values, account restrictions and competitive modes need a source in the current client or a developer announcement. Older community descriptions may become stale as the project changes.

For that reason, this page does not present a current tier list, a nine-class build database or a fixed specialization count. Those would imply a level of version verification our entry check did not provide. Read the game’s live menus when available and avoid transferring an official WoW build without checking it.

If a future update introduces rewards or an event timer, its eligibility and deadline need their own primary source. There is no verified reward claim window or redeem-code campaign in this page.

Browser, Windows and phone access

The browser entry page is the recommended destination for identifying this project. An optional Windows download is visible on that same original page. We have not downloaded, run or scanned that executable; we do not mirror it or attach an approval badge to it.

Touch support is unverified here. Being able to load a canvas or see a sign-in form on a phone does not establish that movement, targeting, camera control and every required action can be operated comfortably without a keyboard. Our own website’s mobile layout is separate from this question.

The local browser check can inspect a few common prerequisites, but a positive result cannot prove game-specific compatibility or fix a remote server. Use the check’s interpretation notes before treating a feature result as a recommendation.

When a guest sign-in returns a server error

A rendered entry screen followed by a server error is useful evidence: the browser loaded enough of the client to attempt entry, but the request did not result in a usable session. That is different from a blank page, a browser certificate warning or an unsupported graphics feature.

  • Try the original destination later and read any announcement linked by the project.
  • Do not keep submitting credentials or create multiple accounts to test whether the same failure changes.
  • Do not disable browser protections or supply a Battle.net password to a fan project.
  • When reporting the problem, include the visible wording and test time without session tokens or private account details.

The game directory offers the separate WebWoW entry point. That is an alternative project, not a replacement account or a way to recover this game’s progress.

Verification notes

Primary source: Arena of Champions project site ↗; rendered entry screen inspected November 2, 2026. The guest request failed during that inspection. We did not verify a current version number, complete a match, test touch-only play or confirm an official embedding permission.

We use an outbound original-project link instead of embedding the game. Other websites embedding a client do not establish permission for this site. See our editorial policy and correction channel for the evidence standard applied to future updates.
