Arena of Champions classes: nine-class reference

Client snapshot 0.28.1, checked November 3, 2026. Base health and base resource are configuration fields before specialization or talent effects. Use this roster to identify a class and its actual specializations.

Choose Arena of Champions classes by the actual specialization list

Arena of Champions classes are defined by this independent client, not by the current World of Warcraft class roster. Our November 3 source check found nine class records and twenty-three specializations. The directory above gives the exact names, base health and base resource from that snapshot. Use the filter to compare a class without leaving this page. The full table remains in the initial HTML.

Start by finding the specialization you intended to play. Warrior offers Arms and Fury; Priest offers Discipline and Shadow. Mage includes Arcane alongside Fire and Frost, while Rogue includes Combat alongside Assassination and Subtlety. Those distinctions matter when an older guide describes fewer specializations. A familiar class name is not enough to identify the available spell list.

The base-resource column records the class definition. A Druid entry saying Mana does not establish the resource used by every form, and base health does not include every talent or temporary effect. These fields help identify the source record; they cannot rank survivability, difficulty or match strength.

Base spells, specialization spells and talent-granted actions

The client separates base spells from specialization spells and talent choices. Counting only the base identifiers under a class omits other available actions. Counting every available action as an action-bar slot is another mistake: an eight-slot bar requires a selection from the available set.

Use the talent planner to inspect the option names for a specific specialization. It validates one choice per row, includes the data version in a share link and rejects a talent placed in the wrong row. It does not estimate damage, healing, matchup strength or a recommended rotation. In the client, read the actual tooltip before deciding which action to place on the bar.

For the class we inspected directly, the Warrior guide explains how to inspect Arms and Fury, compare the five rows and make a small practice checklist. Other class-specific advice should wait for its own inspection rather than inheriting a Warrior conclusion.

Use version changes to detect an outdated class guide

The original 0.28 release record adds Arcane Mage. The 0.27 record changes a Restoration Druid option to Cultivation. The 0.26 record changes several class and talent details. Our Arena of Champions patch notes explain those dated changes and their implications for an older build.

When a screenshot and the current menu differ, compare the project, version, specialization and row before changing your character. A mismatched row can be an outdated instruction rather than a missing feature. Keep a copy of the old build's date, but prepare a fresh versioned plan using the options now visible.

We do not split every spelling or translated class synonym into a new page. This directory answers the roster question; the planner answers the selection-and-sharing task; individual class pages need distinct, checked practice guidance. That separation lets each page work without requiring a click to an external game.

Source, method and remaining tests

Primary source: the original Arena of Champions project and its publicly linked client configuration, inspected November 3, 2026. The newest embedded patch entry was 0.28.1. The nine class records contain twenty-three specialization definitions with five rows of three talent options each: 345 options in total. These are configuration facts, not twenty-three completed combat tests.

Direct interface observation covers guest town entry and the Warrior menu. Full matches, rankings, every specialization's combat behavior, account recovery and physical-phone input remain pending tests. No tier score or win rate is inferred from base health or the number of spells. Report a mismatch through Contact with the source date, class, specialization and exact option label.
